Company Description

APAC Compute is building the compute layer for Asia Pacific's AI era. We develop and operate NVIDIA-accelerated GPU data centre infrastructure in Malaysia, connecting APAC compute supply to global AI demand. We are early-stage, funded, and building sovereign-ready, export-control-clean capacity with institutional partners across the region. Small team, high stakes, fast decisions.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Kuala Lumpur — and our first senior technical hire. You will own the infrastructure stack end to end: NVIDIA Cloud Partner reference architecture, Phase 1 data centre engineering with our campus partner (high-density, liquid-cooled design), GPU cluster delivery from OEM selection through bring-up, burn-in, and production operations against customer SLAs. You will represent our stack in technical due diligence with NVIDIA, customers, and financiers, implement our security and compliance plane (zero-trust access, BMC isolation, export-control requirements), and build the infrastructure team under you as we scale. You start with no team — you create it.

Qualifications

• Personally built and operated at least one production GPU cluster (512+ GPUs, InfiniBand or Spectrum-X) — hands-on, not adjacent
• Liquid cooling deployment experience (direct-to-chip or immersion)
• OEM and vendor management in Asia (Dell / Supermicro / HPE or similar), including delivery and capacity planning for GPU systems
• Working knowledge of Malaysia and/or Singapore data centre realities — utilities, contractors, permitting
• Network security depth: segmentation, zero-trust, secure BMC/management planes; comfortable under US export-control and compliance frameworks
• Startup temperament: builds functions from zero, decides with incomplete information, credible in front of engineers and boards alike
• NVIDIA Cloud Partner or reference-architecture experience is a strong plus. No degree requirement — we care what you've built.
