We’re Hiring: Python Developer / Platform Engineer – Singapore

Location: Singapore

Role: Python Developer / Platform Engineer

Experience: 5+ years

Work Type: Contract

Work Arrangement: On-site

Dexian is looking for an experienced Python Developer / Platform Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, and observability.

The successful candidate will work on the development, deployment, scaling, monitoring, and production support of a platform across multiple Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend and platform solutions
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications on Kubernetes
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines
• Support deployments across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production
• Implement monitoring and observability using Grafana, Prometheus, metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• Support production monitoring and SRE activities
• Automate build, testing, release, and deployment processes
• Implement and optimize traffic-based autoscaling
• Monitor and improve performance, latency, throughput, and resource utilization
• Troubleshoot application, Kubernetes, and Linux issues
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and SRE teams

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or TeamCity
• Experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Experience with Shell scripting / Regular Expressions
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Knowledge of Docker, Ansible, Splunk/SIEM, and public cloud platforms
• Familiarity with open-source backend/platform frameworks and libraries

Good to Have

• Knowledge of proxy and networking concepts
• Exposure to authentication technologies such as JWT, OAuth, or SPIFFE
• Experience with Kubernetes autoscaling and performance optimization
• Experience supporting production/SRE environments
