Job Description

·      We are seeking an experienced AS400 COBOL Developer to develop, enhance, and maintain AS400 applications in a banking environment, preferably within the payments domain. 

·      The role involves delivering reliable software solutions, supporting the complete development lifecycle, and collaborating with technical teams and clients. 

Key Responsibilities

·      Design, develop, and maintain AS400 COBOL applications, modules, and interfaces. Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. 

·      Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 

·      Enhance existing applications to meet evolving business requirements.

·      Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support. 

·      Follow established coding standards, development methodologies, and quality practices. 

·      Collaborate with technical teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery. 

·      Identify technical issues proactively and escalate them when required. Continuously improve technical knowledge and development practices. 

Minimum Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5–8 years of AS400 COBOL development experience. 

·      Experience in the banking domain, preferably payments. 

·      Strong knowledge of AS400, COBOL, SQL, and DB2. Working knowledge of JIRA and Aldon. 

·      Experience in AS400 application development, maintenance, and production support. 

·      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

·      Ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
