About the Role

Our Malaysia Tech Center is advancing cross-border payments, SME digitalisation, and next-generation financial infrastructure, supporting global businesses and products such as WorldFirst, Alipay+, Antom, and Bettr. This role will provide support for Degica's projects and work closely with Degica's engineering team based in Japan. Degica—specifically through its flagship payment platform, Komoju by Degica is an affiliated brand and subsidiary payment platform under Ant International's merchant payment and digitalization brand, Antom.


Your Mission

As an Software Engineer in Test, you will help shape and drive QA processes from the ground up. You will be working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to define and measure quality at every level of our stack. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to grow their technical and testing skills.


  1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools to improve test coverage and reliability.
  2. Execute and manage manual, exploratory, and regression testing for new features and releases.
  3. Analyze system specifications and technical requirements to provide feedback and ensure testability.
  4. Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution, contributing to improved product quality.
  5. Support the team by building and maintaining CI/CD test pipelines and integrating automated tests into release workflows.
  6. Collaborate with developers to ensure proper testing is done throughout the development lifecycle.
  7. Participate in code reviews and test plan reviews.
  8. Help establish quality processes and best practices across the engineering team.
  9. Investigate and recommend tools or practices that help scale QA and improve team productivity.


Minimum Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  2. Relevant software engineering experience, with evidence of contributing to or delivering production features
  3. Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, paired with foundational experience in backend development, APIs, and databases.
  4. Strong ownership and problem-solving skills, with the growth mindset to diagnose system outages and degradations, while collaborating effectively with product teams and business partners.
