Job Title: IT Master Data Developer / Application Support Analyst

Location: Melaka, Malaysia (or based on project requirements)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an IT Master Data Developer / Application Support Analyst to support and enhance enterprise Master Data applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for data migration activities, application development and enhancements, incident resolution, user support, testing, documentation, and operational monitoring.

The role requires close collaboration with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery, system stability, and continuous improvement of Master Data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Application Development & Enhancement

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Master Data applications using C# and PL/SQL.
• Implement bug fixes, software enhancements, new features, and data patches.
• Manage application housekeeping activities and user access administration.
• Ensure development quality through thorough testing and first-time-right delivery.

Data Migration & Analysis

• Analyze business and system data requirements.
• Design, develop, and execute data migration scripts.
• Verify migration accuracy and ensure data completeness against migration plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during migration activities.

Business & User Support

• Gather business and user requirements.
• Assess feasibility of enhancement requests and proposed solutions.
• Provide application consultation and support to business users.
• Resolve or escalate complex support issues appropriately.

Incident & Problem Management

• Investigate and resolve application incidents and operational issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure tickets are resolved within agreed service levels.
• Support production issues and business-critical incidents.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Prepare functional test plans and test cases.
• Execute application testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate enhancements, bug fixes, and software releases.
• Maintain testing documentation and results.

Monitoring & Operational Support

• Monitor application performance and system health.
• Develop and maintain monitoring jobs and scripts.
• Proactively identify and address system issues.
• Support system releases, go-live activities, and hyper-care periods.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Develop support guides, procedures, and operational manuals.
• Perform knowledge transfer activities to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure source code and technical artifacts are properly maintained.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in application development and support.
• Experience in enterprise application maintenance and enhancement.
• Experience in data migration projects and data analysis.
• Exposure to incident management and operational support environments.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory

• Intermediate proficiency in C#
• Intermediate proficiency in PL/SQL
• SQL query development and database troubleshooting
• Data migration and data validation
• Application support and incident resolution
• Software testing and UAT support

Preferred

• SAP integration experience
• Master Data Management (MDM) experience
• Interface development and integration support
• Experience supporting manufacturing or enterprise systems
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools

Pay: From RM4,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
