Job Overview

We are seeking a Compliance Associate to support the Firm’s day-to-day Regulatory Compliance and AML/CFT activities. The role will cover client risk assessments, compliance monitoring and testing, and the maintenance of compliance procedures. The successful candidate will work with the Compliance Manager to support the effective implementation of the Firm’s compliance framework.

Responsibilities

• Assist in updating compliance policies, procedures and controls to ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Singapore and Hong Kong.
• Assist in developing compliance training programmes to enhance awareness of compliance requirements.
• Review Client Due Diligence (CDD) documents and assess client risk classifications against applicable regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Assess name screening alerts, including potential exposure to Adverse News, Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
• Assist in identifying appropriate risk mitigation measures and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements based on client risk profiles.
• Assist with the review of the institutional AML/CFT risk assessment, including identifying key risks and supporting the development of action plans.
• Assist in conducting compliance testing, documenting findings, preparing reports and recommendations.
• Coordinate and assist with responses to information requests from regulators, auditors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Undertake other compliance-related duties or projects as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of Audit experience in a professional services firm or large organisation.
• Prior experience in Regulatory Compliance or AML/CFT is an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken English, with effective communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
