Mechanical Specialist Engineer

Location: Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

Salary: RM7,000 per month

A glass manufacturing company is seeking a Mechanical Specialist Engineer to support production machinery, resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance. The role involves working with technical teams and equipment suppliers in China.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex mechanical failures and reduce production downtime.
• Support the installation, commissioning and adjustment of production machinery.
• Interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals and engineering documents.
• Recommend machinery modifications and improvements.
• Provide technical guidance on hydraulic, pneumatic and transmission systems.
• Prepare technical reports and share findings with the China headquarters team.
• Train and support local engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Working proficiency in Mandarin to discuss technical matters with China-based teams and suppliers.
• Ability to work a three-shift schedule in Seremban.
