Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Construction Project Manager to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects from commencement to completion.
  • Manage daily project operations and ensure all works are carried out according to the approved drawings, specifications, project schedule and required standards.
  • Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Monitor project schedules, site progress and manpower requirements, and take the necessary actions to keep the project on track.
  • Supervise and coordinate site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and according to the required quality standards.
  • Review construction drawings, method statements and work schedules, and coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve technical and site issues.
  • Attend project and site meetings, provide updates on project progress, and follow up on outstanding issues and action items.
  • Manage project resources, including manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors, to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor project costs, variations and subcontractor works to ensure the project is completed within the approved budget.
  • Identify potential project risks, delays and site issues, and work with the relevant parties to implement effective solutions.
  • Lead and manage the site team, provide clear instructions and ensure that all team members understand their responsibilities and project requirements.
  • Prepare and review project reports, progress updates and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion and proper handover of the project, including rectification and outstanding works.
Requirements:
  • Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project coordination and site management.
  • Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Able to manage project timelines, manpower and resources effectively.
  • Able to work independently as well as lead a project team.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Responsible, organised, proactive and able to work under pressure.
