Job Summary
Our client seeks a Project Engineer to lead and coordinate prototype builds, ensuring alignment of materials, tooling, engineering changes, and manufacturing readiness to meet project milestones and customer schedules.
Responsibilities
Plan and track prototype build schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely project completion
Coordinate readiness of materials, BOMs, tooling, engineering changes, and production processes to support prototype builds
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Planning, and factory teams to align cross-functional activities
Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement corrective and recovery actions to maintain project progress
Monitor build progress and provide regular, clear project status updates to stakeholders
Maintain accurate project documentation, issue logs, action trackers, and change records for traceability
Support prototype reviews, post-build activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes
Required competencies and certifications
Diploma or higher in Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 2 years’ experience in PCB/electronics manufacturing, NPI, prototype development, or manufacturing engineering
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience in prototype builds and NPI projects
Knowledge of BOM management, engineering changes, and manufacturing processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
