KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take full responsibility and accountability for the successful planning, execution, delivery, and completion of one or multiple projects, ensuring all contractual obligations, approved budgets, project schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations are achieved.
• Provide overall strategic leadership and direction to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure effective project execution and successful delivery.
• Develop, implement, and monitor project execution strategies, construction methodologies, resource planning, and recovery plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Regularly review project progress, financial performance, resource utilization, quality, safety, and key milestones, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Lead and oversee all commercial and contractual matters, including contract negotiations, variations, claims, Extension of Time (EOT), procurement strategies, and subcontract administration.
• Ensure all statutory approvals, authority permits, licenses, regulatory requirements, and contractual documentation are obtained and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant government authorities to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and project success.
• Chair project progress meetings, executive management reviews, client meetings, and steering committee discussions, providing timely updates on project performance, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Drive project profitability by monitoring project costs, budgets, cash flow, procurement activities, commercial performance, and overall financial health.
• · Ensure construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, engineering standards, quality requirements, and company procedures while promoting best construction practices.
• · Oversee and coordinate the activities of construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and timely completion.
• Lead project risk management by identifying potential technical, commercial, operational, and contractual risks, implementing mitigation measures to minimise delays, cost overruns, and reputational impact.
• Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring full compliance with all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, statutory regulations, client requirements, and company standards.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and project teams by providing leadership, guidance, and performance management to build a high-performing organization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence, innovation, and lessons learned across projects to enhance project delivery performance and organizational capability.
• Ensure successful project commissioning, client acceptance, project handover, and close-out, including resolution of defects and completion of all contractual deliverables.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the General Manager or senior management.

Pay: RM20,000.00 - RM35,000.00 per month
