Equitable Technologies is a post-seed MedTech startup building PEEK, an AI-powered cancer screening platform. Founded in Boston, we now run our product and engineering development out of Kuala Lumpur.

We're a small, fast-moving team building hardware, software, and AI in-house — which means we're constantly sourcing technical components, equipment, and materials from suppliers around the world.

About the Role

We're looking for a Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to support the purchasing and delivery of the technical components and equipment our hardware, AI, and product teams need.

This is a hands-on, vendor-facing role. You'll help source suppliers, compare quotes, negotiate where appropriate, coordinate shipments, and make sure orders arrive on time and within budget.

A significant portion of our suppliers are Mandarin-speaking, so fluent Mandarin is required. You'll need to be comfortable communicating directly with suppliers in Mandarin to clarify specifications, negotiate pricing, follow up on orders, and resolve issues without relying on translation.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is organized, resourceful, commercially minded, and comfortable getting things done in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You'll Work On

• Source and evaluate suppliers for technical components, equipment, and other materials.
• Communicate directly with Mandarin-speaking suppliers to obtain quotations, clarify specifications, and follow up on orders.
• Compare supplier pricing, lead times, MOQs, payment terms, and shipping options.
• Support price and commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Coordinate shipments from supplier to office, including courier/freight arrangements, tracking, and delivery follow-up.
• Monitor customs, duties, and other shipping-related costs and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Track purchase orders, suppliers, shipments, costs, and delivery timelines.
• Follow up proactively when suppliers miss deadlines, shipments are delayed, or orders arrive damaged or incomplete.
• Maintain an organized record of vendors and purchasing activity to support better procurement decisions.
• Help build and improve our procurement and logistics processes as the company grows.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business/Trade, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, provided you have already graduated and can provide your degree certificate.
• Fluent in Mandarin and comfortable communicating, negotiating, and problem-solving with suppliers in Mandarin.
• Confident communicating with vendors and comfortable asking questions, pushing back on unreasonable quotes, and following up when things are delayed.
• Some exposure to procurement, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or vendor management through internships, university projects, or previous work experience.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep track of multiple orders, suppliers, and shipments.
• Resourceful and proactive — you don't wait to be told there's a problem before doing something about it.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes are still being built.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic purchasing/administrative records.
