Operations Associate

Job Title: Operations Associate

Location: KL - Kuala Lumpur

Job Overview

We are looking for detail-oriented Operations Associates to support day-to-day operational activities for a financial entity. The role will primarily involve data entry, data validation, document processing, reconciliation and operational support, while ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to established processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely data entry across operational systems and applications.
• Validate information against source documents and predefined business rules.
• Review, verify and process financial and operational data.
• Identify data discrepancies, missing information or inconsistencies and coordinate for resolution.
• Perform document verification and maintain accurate records.
• Support data cleansing, reconciliation and quality-check activities.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows and quality guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and customer information.
• Prepare basic operational reports and status updates.
• Escalate exceptions and process issues to the appropriate team members.
• Meet defined productivity, accuracy and turnaround-time targets. Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, IT or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in data entry, operations, banking, financial services, back-office processing or a similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data and repetitive processes without compromising quality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines.
• Previous banking or investment banking experience will be an advantage.
