Job Summary
You will manage product categories to optimize sourcing, pricing, promotions, and inventory, driving sales growth and profitability while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Manage assigned product categories by sourcing products, negotiating pricing, promotions, and launching new items to meet customer needs and market trends
Negotiate costs, rebates, promotional support, and trading terms to maximize profitability and supplier value
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong business relationships to ensure reliable supply and quality
Curate product selections to maintain the right mix across stores, discontinuing slow-moving items and listing new products strategically
Develop and implement pricing strategies to stay competitive and achieve sales targets
Plan and execute promotional activities, discounts, and seasonal campaigns to drive customer engagement and sales
Monitor competitors’ pricing and promotional activities to inform category strategies
Collaborate closely with supply chain and procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize out-of-stock situations
Reduce excess inventory and product wastage through effective inventory management
Analyze category performance data to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly
Recommend product assortment changes based on market trends and sales analysis
Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager
