Role Overview: The Assistant Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) plays a critical role in driving business strategy through financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis. This position acts as a bridge between finance and operations, providing leadership with actionable insights to optimize commercial performance and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning: Lead the preparation of annual operating plans, strategic long-range plans, and quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Management Reporting: Deliver monthly management reporting packages, executive dashboards, and board-level presentations.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts. Identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable commentary.
- Business Partnering: Act as a dedicated financial advisor to cross-functional business units (e.g., Operations, Marketing, Sales). Support them with ad-hoc analysis, ROI assessments, and cost-optimization strategies.
- Process Optimization: Champion the automation and streamlining of reporting workflows using advanced Excel, macros, or Business Intelligence (BI) tools to reduce turnaround times.
- Others:
- Provide financial modeling and analytical support for strategic initiatives, such as capital expenditure (CapEx) evaluations, new business ventures, or potential M&A activities.
- Prepare customized financial schedules, sensitivity analyses, and rapid "what-if" scenario models to fulfil urgent requests from the C-suite, Board of Directors, or external stakeholders.
- Support external audits, specific valuation exercises, or ad-hoc regulatory reporting by providing necessary financial data, schedules, and reconciliations as needed.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
