Construction Coordinator

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Construction Coordinator to support and coordinate our ongoing construction projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure that works are carried out according to project requirements, drawings, schedule and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day construction activities at project sites.

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling and monitoring project progress.

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and site workers to ensure works are carried out according to schedule.

• Check site conditions against approved drawings and highlight any discrepancies.

• Coordinate architectural, structural and M&E works to minimise clashes and delays.

• Attend site meetings and coordination meetings when required.

• Monitor subcontractor work progress, workmanship and site productivity.

• Assist in arranging materials, equipment and manpower required for site works.

• Ensure materials delivered to site are in accordance with project requirements.

• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients and relevant parties.

• Assist in resolving site coordination and technical issues.

• Maintain proper site records, progress photographs and documentation.

• Assist in preparation of progress reports, work schedules and site updates.

• Ensure site works comply with company safety requirements and applicable Singapore construction regulations.

• Follow up on rectification works, defects and outstanding items.

• Perform other project and site coordination duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline preferred.

• Candidates with relevant Singapore construction site experience are preferred.

• Good understanding of construction sequence, site coordination and building works.

• Able to read construction drawings and specifications.

• Basic knowledge of architectural, structural and M&E coordination.

• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with workers, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

• Responsible, organised and able to work independently.

• Able to work in a fast-paced construction site environment.

• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.

• Possession of relevant construction safety certifications will be an advantage.

• Candidates without formal qualifications but with relevant construction experience may also be considered.

Working Conditions

• Work location: Various project sites in Singapore

• Employment type: Full-Time

• Working schedule: Monday to Saturday / according to project requirements

• May be required to work beyond normal working hours depending on site requirements

Salary

SGD $3,000 – $4,500 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
