Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, commission, troubleshoot, and retrofit cooling and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and carry out necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance and cooling systems.
• Dismantle faulty systems and replace worn or defective components.
• Install and service refrigeration components including compressors, condensers, expansion valves, and control valves.
• Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigerant recovery/reclaiming.
• Conduct brazing and other technical repair work where required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to established procedures.
• Maintain proper care and safekeeping of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Collect, deliver, and install materials and equipment when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment problems, repairs, and post-service reports.
• Maintain good housekeeping at work sites.
• Perform other technical and operational duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Minimum Technical Certificate in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience
• Basic understanding of air-conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with systems is an advantage.
• Experience in hot work/brazing is an added advantage.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work outdoors and at customer sites.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting, climbing, and handling equipment/materials.
• Responsible, adaptable, and customer-focused.
