Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Remote in Malaysia

Day Rate: 500 MYR per day

Contract Length: 6 months

Network Security Engineer - Role & Responsibilities

• Deploy, implement and maintain enterprise firewall and network security solutions across complex infrastructure environments.
• Configure and support FortiGate and other leading firewall platforms, ensuring secure and resilient network connectivity.
• Implement and troubleshoot routing and switching solutions alongside firewall technologies.
• Support the deployment and integration of proxy and network security technologies, including Zscaler where required.
• Contribute to automation and operational improvements through scripting and security-focused tooling.

Network Security Engineer - Required Experience

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in network security and firewall engineering within enterprise environments.
• Strong practical experience with FortiGate, with additional exposure to platforms such as Palo Alto, Check Point or Cisco ASA.
• Solid knowledge of routing and switching (R&S) and experience deploying and troubleshooting network infrastructure.
• Experience with network proxy technologies such as Zscaler or comparable enterprise proxy solutions.
• Good understanding of automation, scripting and Linux, with the ability to use these technologies to improve network and security operations.
