Job Description & Requirements

Job Summary

Supervise kitchen operations to deliver high-quality food and service. Lead and train staff, ensure compliance with food safety standards, manage inventory, and coordinate with front-of-house teams to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service

Lead, schedule, and oversee kitchen staff to ensure effective task execution and team performance

Prepare and present food according to restaurant recipes, quality standards, and portion specifications

Monitor and enforce compliance with Singapore food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations and company policies

Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, equipment use, and workplace safety to improve skills and safety awareness

Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and implement measures to minimise food wastage

Maintain kitchen equipment by ensuring proper use and reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly

Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of customer orders

Assist in menu implementation to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times

Resolve operational issues during shifts and support management in meeting operational and service targets

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred

At least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, including supervisory experience

Good knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and inventory management

Familiarity with food hygiene and safety standards

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
