Performance Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer to support performance testing activities for complex banking applications and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner and/or JMeter, along with solid banking domain knowledge and experience working across multiple applications, integrations and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end performance testing, including test planning, scripting, execution, monitoring and reporting.
• Work with stakeholders to understand Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), business flows and application architecture.
• Analyse complex banking solutions involving multiple applications, integrations and technologies.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using HP LoadRunner, JMeter, WebLOAD or similar tools.
• Define, develop and finalise performance testing frameworks.
• Prepare performance test environments and test data for different load testing cycles.
• Execute load, stress and performance tests based on defined business scenarios.
• Configure monitoring counters and/or work with APM and monitoring tools during test execution.
• Analyse performance test results and identify bottlenecks, performance issues and observations.
• Prepare high-level execution summaries and detailed performance test reports.
• Present performance findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Work closely with client POCs to resolve issues and clarify performance-related observations.
• Identify and validate business-critical scenarios for performance testing.
• Collaborate with QA, development, infrastructure and application teams throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Follow established SDLC and QA processes.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of relevant experience in Performance Testing / Performance Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with HP LoadRunner and/or JMeter.
• Experience in performance testing for banking or financial services applications.
• Experience working with complex application architectures involving multiple applications and integrations.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
• Experience with performance test scripting, workload preparation, test execution and performance analysis.
• Experience gathering and analysing NFRs and business requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Banking Domain Experience

Experience in any of the following banking domains is highly preferred:

• Cards
• Payments
• Loans
• Core Banking
• Digital / Mobile Banking
• Other Banking Applications

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Mainframe and/or AS400 environments.
• Experience with APM / application monitoring tools.
• Experience working with large-scale banking systems involving multiple applications and technologies.
• Previous experience interacting directly with clients or external stakeholders.
• 8+ years of overall experience within the banking or financial services industry is an advantage.

Only candidates with relevant Performance Testing experience and LoadRunner/JMeter expertise will be considered.

Pay: From RM6,000.00 per month
