Job Responsibilities

• Participate in GPE global industrial roadmap studies and workshops.
• Work with GPE and suppliers on jig/equipment automation solutions and concept design.
• Align and approve automation specifications with GPE and suppliers.
• Support FAT, SAT and ER buy-off for new jigs/equipment.
• Support NPI activities, including new line/machine installation, setup and adjustment.
• Develop machine operating instructions and transfer technical knowledge to maintenance teams.
• Define PM structure, maintenance instructions and checklists, and train maintenance engineers/technicians.
• Define spare parts lists, identify critical spare parts and establish minimum stock levels.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation equipment breakdowns beyond maintenance team capability.
• Perform hands-on automation setup, buy-off and continuous optimization.
• Conduct and update HIRARC studies and ensure EHS/safety compliance.
• Improve machine uptime, efficiency and labor productivity through automation.
• Conduct data-driven RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement for equipment losses and recurring failures.
• Participate in annual maintenance budget planning and cost-reduction projects.
• Explore new automation opportunities and solutions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Automation Engineering experience in a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of: Electrical & electronic systems, Electrical schematics and control panels, Pneumatic control, Vision systems, PLC programming & troubleshooting — Omron, Siemens, Xinjie or Beckhoff, Industrial robots and automation systems, Automation solutions , Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
• Able to use CAD for jig and fixture design.
• Experience in machine data collection, equipment monitoring and production system integration.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Hands-on, detail-oriented and strong communication/teamwork skills.
• Willing and able to travel overseas.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
