Job Description
Responsibilities
About the role
As the Construction Scheduler at PPE, you own the programme from the first line of logic to project close-out. You are not a reporter of progress — you are the person who drives it. Your schedule is the single source of truth for every project team member, subcontractor, and client.
Key responsibilities
Develop the construction method statement covering sequencing, phasing, access, logistics, lifting, and CSA/M&E interfaces before the schedule is drafted
Build the CPM baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or MS Project, structured by WBS with all logic ties, milestones, agreed buffers, and float management in place
Present and obtain sign-off on the baseline programme before construction mobilises
Manage all changes to the baseline through a proper revision and approval process
Publish 2-week and 4-week look-ahead plans every week, distributed before the weekly planning meeting
Collect actual progress data from Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors at each update cycle
Recalculate float and critical path after every update; flag variances before they compound
Load labour, plant, equipment, and material quantities into the schedule; generate resource histograms
Produce and update S-curves at key milestones for management and client reporting
Maintain an interface register linking the programme to procurement lead times, drawing approvals, authority submissions, and subcontractor programmes
About you
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
3 to 4 years of hands-on scheduling experience in industrial, infrastructure, or heavy construction
Demonstrated experience building and owning CPM schedules across the full project lifecycle (pre-construction through close-out)
Experience with multi-discipline projects covering CSA and M&E works is strongly preferred
Proficient in Primavera P6 — this is the core scheduling tool for this role
Competent in MS Project as a secondary tool
Able to construct WBS, logic ties, milestones, resource histograms, and S-curves from scratch
Familiar with CPM critical path methodology, float management, and earned value concepts
Understanding of delay analysis techniques (TIA, windows analysis, as-planned vs. as-built)
Knowledge of EOT processes and claims documentation in a construction context
