Job Summary

You will assist customers with watch sales and service enquiries, register watches for servicing, communicate watch issues clearly, liaise with watchmakers, and maintain customer relationships in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers professionally to create a positive, personalised experience
• Assist customers with watch sales, product enquiries, recommendations, and service-related questions
• Register watches received for service and accurately record customer details and reported issues
• Communicate watch problems clearly to customers by gathering relevant information on watch condition and usage
• Liaise with watchmakers and internal teams to coordinate repair and service handovers and follow-ups
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and unexpected situations using sound judgement and practical problem-solving
• Proactively follow up with customers to maintain strong relationships and encourage repeat business
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and service activities
• Keep the retail and service environment professional, organised, and welcoming at all times
• Support sales and service operations by performing other related duties as required
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and situations while maintaining high service standards

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Business, Retail, Sales, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in luxury watch sales, luxury retail, customer service, or direct customer-facing roles
• Experience in luxury watch industry, jewellery, luxury goods, or after-sales service
• Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic computer operations
• Strong sales and customer engagement skills with the ability to understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services
• Ability to identify and explain common watch-related issues such as timekeeping, water damage, winding, scratches, and movement faults (technical repair knowledge not required)
• Fast thinker with a flexible and adaptable approach to customers and situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
• Customer-focused, service-oriented, persuasive, and commercially minded
• Well-groomed, professional, confident, and comfortable interacting with diverse customers
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and follow-up skills
• Responsible, punctual, proactive, and able to work independently and in teams
• Comfortable working retail hours including weekends and public holidays
