Finance Executive
Objective: To describe the role’s areas of responsibilities, interfaces, and competency requirements.
1. MAIN PURPOSE
The Finance Executive (Mandarin Speaker) is responsible for overseeing and managing the full spectrum of finance functions. This includes ensuring the integrity of financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, managing cash flow, and collaborating closely with the Finance Manager to ensure financial operations are compliant, efficient, and accurate.
2. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Finance Function Oversight
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure that general accounting operations are aligned with company policies and objectives.
b. Accounts Payable
- Review and ensure payment vouchers and coding of expenses are recorded correctly.
- Handle payments to vendors, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Review and process employee claims.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues related to accounts payable.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
c. Accounts Receivable
- Ensure that billings are completed on time and in compliance with clients’ requirements.
- Work with the Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Address any client inquiries or issues related to billing matters.
d. General Accounting and Administration
- Manage the full set of accounts for the company, including all general accounting functions.
- Perform administrative duties related to accounting processes.
e. Ad-Hoc Responsibilities
- Attend to any other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior management.
3. CRITICAL INTERFACES
- Internal: Finance Manager, Senior Management, and other internal departments as required.
- External: Vendors, clients, and external auditors.
4. CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES4.1 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
4.2 Technical Competencies and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and financial forecasting.
- Experience with general accounting functions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
4.3 Country-Specific Technical Competencies
- Familiarity with local accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws in Malaysia.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
