Job Summary We are seeking an analytical, highly technical, and results-oriented Technical Services Manager to lead our field engineering, machinery maintenance, and client service teams. In this role, you will be the core technical owner responsible for managing the full lifecycle of industrial technical services, preventive maintenance frameworks, and hardware engineering workflows. Operating from our West Region hub, you will bridge the gap between multinational corporate accounts, on-site testing technicians, and internal product engineering units to ensure that all service contracts are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in strict accordance with ISO quality standards.
- Key Responsibilities
- Technical Operations Management: Direct the day-to-day scheduling, dispatch, and performance execution of the technical field engineering and equipment maintenance crews.
- Service Delivery Optimization: Establish, track, and monitor operational performance metrics (KPIs) to eliminate service delivery backlogs and maintain strict alignment with customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Provide rapid, decisive tier 3 technical troubleshooting to resolve complex industrial systems failures, tracking software/hardware bugs, and executing root cause diagnostic logs.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary, high-touch point of contact for corporate clients regarding technical queries, machinery installation timelines, and system validation reviews.
- Budget & Asset Management: Monitor technical service expenditures, manage spare parts inventory allocations, and evaluate vendor pricing matrices to minimize working capital waste.
- Quality Assurance & Safety Enforcement: Enforce rigid compliance with workplace health and safety protocols, engineering design specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee a zero-accident workspace.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain precise physical and digital archiving frameworks, compiling comprehensive equipment calibration logs, incident reports, and compliance certificates for statutory audits.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Systems, or a related quantitative technical discipline.
- Technical Stack: Strong command of system configuration tracking, technical drawing interpretation, and project mapping models. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for metrics tracking is required.
- Experience: Prior experience (3–5 years) in a technical services management, senior maintenance engineer, or industrial field service lead role—specifically within a manufacturing, heavy engineering, or automation sector—is required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills; professional telephone etiquette and an assertive, collaborative stakeholder management style.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding structural logic, intense attention to detail under tight project timelines, strong diagnostic capabilities, and a resilient team-player mindset.
