Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Modeling: Prepare detailed layouts, schematics, and shop drawings for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing) using AutoCAD and Revit.
Coordination & Clash Detection: Identify, flag, and resolve spatial clashes between various MEP services and structural/architectural elements.
Compliance: Ensure all technical drawings adhere to company CAD standards, client specifications, and local Malaysian authority guidelines (e.g., TNB, Syabas, Bomba, JKR).
Documentation: Manage, update, and maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaboration: Attend project coordination meetings and liaise with site teams to resolve design discrepancies during construction.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Certificate or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical), Architecture, Drafting, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as an MEP Draftsman in the Malaysian construction or consultancy sector.
Software Mastery: High proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Practical experience with BIM/Revit MEP is highly advantageous.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP services installation details, schematic diagrams, and builder's works coordination.
Local Standards: Familiarity with Malaysian Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL) and local authority submission procedures.
Soft Skills: Sharp attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to deliver quality work under tight project timelines.
