LAURENE Living | Singapore | Performance-Based

Are you energetic, entrepreneurial and excited by the idea of helping build a lifestyle brand from the ground up?

LAURENE Living is a Singapore-based botanical home & lifestyle brand creating premium, modern products designed to bring a sense of calm and freshness into everyday spaces.

We are looking for an

energetic, commercially minded and entrepreneurial individual

to work directly with the founder and help take LAURENE Living from a small founder-led business to a scalable brand.

This is

not a conventional office internship

. You will have the opportunity to get involved in real business development, sales, product development, AI and eventually building a scalable operating model.

Our digital marketing is already supported by an external marketing agency.

Your primary focus will therefore be the physical, human side of the business — getting the products into people's hands, letting customers experience the scent and developing opportunities that cannot be achieved purely online.

What you will do

PHASE 1 — Physical Business Development & Sales

Your initial focus will be getting LAURENE Living physically in front of potential customers.

You may:
Introduce and demonstrate our products at suitable offline opportunities

Approach potential corporate clients, boutiques, lifestyle businesses, events and communities

Organise product sampling and scent experiences

Identify potential retail, corporate gifting and partnership opportunities

Speak directly with potential customers and understand their feedback

Build a database of potential business leads and partnership opportunities

Test different offline sales approaches and report what works

Represent the LAURENE Living brand professionally and confidently

The key objective: get people to experience the products physically and convert that experience into sales and partnerships.

PHASE 2 — Product Making & Development

As you become familiar with the brand, you may be trained to assist with the

production of LAURENE Living products

using the founder's formulations and processes.

This could include:
Preparing products according to established formulations

Learning our production and quality-control process

Assisting with small-batch production

Understanding product costing and margins

Helping improve production efficiency

Maintaining consistency and quality

You will be working with established formulations and processes rather than independently creating or modifying formulas without approval.

PHASE 3 — Build a Scalable Business Model

The longer-term objective is to move beyond the founder personally making and selling every product.

You will help explore:
How production can be delegated to other people

Training and standardising production processes

Developing simple SOPs

Creating a repeatable sales model

Building partnerships and distribution channels

Improving unit economics and margins

Using AI and automation to reduce administrative work

Developing a model that can grow without everything depending on the founder

The goal is to help turn LAURENE Living from a founder-operated business into a scalable business.

PHASE 4 — Regional Expansion

If the business reaches the appropriate stage, you may become involved in exploring expansion into other markets.

This could include:
Market research

Identifying potential distributors and partners

Testing demand in other countries

Understanding local customer preferences

Exploring regional e-commerce and retail opportunities

Supporting the development of an APAC expansion model

AI and how AI can be used to build a better business

Comfortable working independently without being given instructions for every task

Resourceful — you see a problem and think of a way to solve it

Interested in building something rather than simply completing assigned tasks

Comfortable with a fast-moving, founder-led environment

Interested in eventually building a career in

technology, startups, entrepreneurship or business development

Students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Marketing, business, design, communications, entrepreneurship, technology or related backgrounds are particularly relevant.

This opportunity is different

You will work directly with the founder of LAURENE Living and see how a business is built from the ground up.

You will get exposure to:
Business Development → Sales → Product → Operations → AI → Scaling → Regional Expansion

If you are ambitious, this can potentially develop into a

long-term role with increasing responsibility

as the business grows.

Compensation

This is currently structured as a

part-time / freelance entrepreneurial opportunity as an internship

, with compensation primarily linked to business results.

The initial structure may include:
Commission on sales generated

Performance-based incentives

Profit-sharing arrangements for appropriate projects

A small stipend or other compensation may be discussed depending on experience, commitment and scope

The longer-term compensation structure can evolve as the business grows and your responsibilities increase.

This is not intended to be a traditional fixed-salary internship.

Singapore-based

Part-time / freelance initially

Flexible hours, with a significant focus on offline business development

Some work can be done remotely

Physical meetings / product activities will take place in Singapore

Potential for a longer-term role if there is strong mutual fit
