Infrared thermography
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV)
Rebound hammer testing
Moisture and salt analysis (for heritage materials)
Assist in condition surveys and defect mapping of historic structures using 2D and 3D platforms
Analyse inspection and diagnostic data to:
Identify material deterioration and structural issues
Correlate NDT findings with 3D spatial data
Support evidence-based conservation strategies
Prepare technical reports, drawings, and visualisations with clear conservation recommendations
Support conservation and diagnosis projects, including:
Material investigation and testing
Long-term monitoring and documentation
Digital archiving of heritage assets
Requirements
Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Building, Architecture, or related field
Certified UAV pilot (CAAS licensed or equivalent)
Experience with NDT methods in building or infrastructure inspection
Familiarity with heritage materials (e.g., lime plaster, stone, brick, metals) is an advantage
Experience with photogrammetry software (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape) preferred
