Responsibilities

Inventory Control

• Receive, inspect and label incoming goods, ensuring counts match delivery documents and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate stock records through daily cycle counts and monthly reconciliations.
• Manage stock rotation and expiry checks to reduce waste and avoid stockouts.

Warehouse Operations

• Organise storage locations for efficient picking and safe stacking of items.
• Prepare and stage goods for dispatch according to pick lists and delivery schedules.
• Operate basic material handling equipment safely and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Reporting & Communication

• Produce clear stock reports and communicate discrepancies to procurement and site supervisors.
• Support purchase order checks and assist with simple stock forecasts based on usage patterns.
• Keep a clean, compliant workspace and follow standard operating procedures for safety and security.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in storekeeping, inventory or warehouse roles.
• Basic SPM or equivalent is acceptable; vocational certificates in logistics or warehousing are a plus.
• Experience working with procurement teams and understanding of delivery documentation.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Practical knowledge of Stocks (Inventory), stocktaking and inventory control methods.
• Comfortable with basic ERP stock modules or inventory spreadsheets in Excel for logging and reporting.
• Familiar with safe materials handling, labelling, and stock rotation techniques.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Organised and detail oriented, with a reliable record for accurate counts and tidy storage.
• Clear communicator who works well with procurement, drivers and site staff.
• Dependable, punctual and willing to follow procedures to keep the team efficient and safe.
