JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Manager, Hotel Financial Reporting is responsible for supporting the reporting, consolidation, validation, and analysis of hotel financial performance across the APEC Continent. This position assists in the preparation of timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting and performance analysis to support business decision-making and financial management.

The role works closely with Hotel Finance teams, Continent Finance Operations, and Finance Business Partners to ensure the integrity of financial data and consistency of reporting. The Assistant Manager supports month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and financial analysis activities while contributing to process improvements and reporting automation initiatives.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual hotel financial reporting across the APEC Continent.
  • Review and validate hotel financial submissions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial results against budget, forecast, prior year, and other performance benchmarks, highlighting significant variances and trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reporting packages, financial presentations, and supporting schedules for Finance leadership.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes by coordinating data collection, validating submissions, and preparing analytical reviews.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis of hotel operating performance, including revenue, profitability, expense management, and key operating metrics.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and performance analyses to support business and financial decision-making.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of reporting tools, financial models, and reporting templates.
  • Partner with Hotel Finance teams and other stakeholders to resolve reporting issues, investigate variances, and improve data quality.
  • Assist with reporting automation and process improvement initiatives utilizing Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL, and other reporting tools.
  • Support compliance with corporate reporting standards, policies, and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to special projects and other finance initiatives as assigned.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong financial acumen with proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to articulate operating and financial results concisely to peers within and outside of the Finance organization.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely. Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel and Power Point, Power BI and Power Automate, Power Apps, is a must, and experience with Hyperion, PeopleSoft, or similar financial systems preferred.
  • SQL (minimum 3 years of experience).
  • Ability to organize large volumes of data to create a synthesized, meaningful analysis.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment or contribute independently; strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable to fast paced work environment with new and changing responsibilities.
  • Self-starter with strong tendency toward pro-active process improvement.
  • Speaking and writing in English required

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, FP&A, management reporting, or related finance functions.
  • Experience in hospitality finance, hotel accounting, or multinational corporate finance environment preferred.
  • Experience working with financial reporting systems, reporting tools, and business intelligence applications preferred.
