Responsibilities
A multi-billion-dollar China-based quant fund is scaling its global trading infrastructure and hiring a core developer to own critical low-latency systems. This is real systems ownership, not tickets and maintenance, and notably: Mandarin is not required.
What you'll do
- Design, build and own low-latency trading and research systems: market data, order entry, simulation, monitoring and research interfaces
- Take critical components from architecture through testing, production rollout, observability and maintenance
- Diagnose latency, throughput, stability and correctness across networking, Linux and application layers
- Work directly with researchers and traders on a shared, firm-wide codebase, with a real voice in architecture and performance trade-offs
What you'll bring
- A background only at tier-1 quantitative or high-frequency trading houses; a firm requirement
- 3+ years in low-latency, high-frequency, electronic-trading or other performance-critical systems
- Modern C++17/20 on Linux, with strong memory, concurrency and lock-free programming
- Low-latency networking and market-data experience; kernel bypass (e.g. ef_vi) is highly relevant
- Practical eBPF, CPU/cache, profiling and hot-path optimization
- Bonus points for: a dedicated core / systems developer background rather than generalist application work
