Smart Asia Chemical Bhd, listed entity and an established leader in the paint manufacturing industry. We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Account Manager to join our management team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and leading a team of Account Executives , you will play a critical role in maintaining robust financial integrity, overseeing group-level reporting, and driving financial operations for our listed group.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Group Consolidation: Lead the financial statement close process and prepare timely company-level and group-level financial reports.
• Expense Analysis & Compliance: Analyze corporate expenses and report any irregularities or variances directly to the CFO.
• Valuation & Budgeting: Assist the CFO with inventory valuations, financial forecasting, and the preparation of annual budget reports.
• Stock Management: Oversee and monitor quarterly and year-end physical stock counts.
• External Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and statutory/government authorities.
• Team Leadership: Manage, guide, and review the work of Senior Account Executives and Account Executives.
• Operational Duties: Carry out additional financial duties as assigned by immediate superiors.

Who are we looking for.....

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Accounting or a relevant field.
• Experience: Proven work experience as an Account Manager or in a senior accounting role within a corporate/listed setting.
• Technical: Hands-on experience with accounting software and advanced proficiency in financial modeling/spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Analytical & Communication: Strong analytical acumen combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional Qualification: ACCA, CPA or MICPA qualification will be an added advantage.
• Language: Mandarin speaking to liaison with mandarin-speaking stakeholders will be an added advantage.
