Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide technical engineering support and expertise in electrical systems, plant maintenance, reliability, and project execution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical input, supporting engineering and maintenance activities, troubleshooting electrical systems, and ensuring that all activities comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and engineering standards.
This role also contributes to continuous improvement, reliability enhancement, asset integrity, and the execution of electrical engineering strategies and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and engineering expertise for electrical systems, equipment, maintenance, and project activities.
- Provide technical input and support the execution of the Electrical Engineering Strategy, Business Plan and Policy.
- Provide a full spectrum of technical and project engineering services, expertise, and specialized engineering solutions.
- Support electrical system design, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support for electrical equipment including:
- Protection relays
- Transformers
- Switchgear
- Motors
- UPS systems
- Support plant electrical distribution systems and ensure reliable and safe operation.
- Participate in maintenance planning, execution, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement activities.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for electrical failures and recurring equipment issues.
- Provide technical support during plant maintenance, shutdown and turnaround activities.
- Support commissioning, testing and start-up activities for electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure engineering and maintenance activities comply with applicable safety, regulatory, statutory, and engineering requirements.
- Maintain accurate engineering, maintenance, inspection, testing, and project documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, maintenance reports, and management updates.
- Utilise SAP ECC6 – Plant Maintenance (PM) Module for maintenance-related activities and records.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to reliability engineering, asset integrity and inspection initiatives.
- Support EPC and brownfield projects, including engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and start-up activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to improve electrical system reliability, efficiency, and performance.

The candidate should have knowledge and/or experience in:
- Industrial electrical power distribution systems

- Preventive and corrective maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the related industry as required by the Company.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, maintenance, and plant operations.
- Proficient in preparing technical reports, engineering documentation, and maintenance reports.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in relevant engineering software/tools.
- Familiar with SAP ECC6 – Plant Maintenance (PM) Module.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of electrical safety and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willing to support plant maintenance, shutdown, turnaround, commissioning, start-up, and project activities when required.
Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM9,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
