My client is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Cloud Migration to lead application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives within the higher education sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise application development and support functions while driving the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with institutional policies, governance requirements, and business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, vendor management, and communication skills to effectively collaborate across multiple departments and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications across the organization

• Drive application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives, including the migration of legacy applications to modern cloud platforms.

• Develop and implement application roadmaps, architecture strategies, and technology standards to support business objectives.

• Oversee application support operations, incident management, problem resolution, and service improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with academic, administrative, and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.

• Oversee cloud-based application deployments on platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Alibaba Cloud, or Tencent Cloud.

• Manage third-party vendors, technology partners, and system integrators to ensure successful delivery of projects and support services.

• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, governance frameworks, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor project scope, budgets, timelines, risks, and service performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 12-14 years of experience in Cloud Modernization and migration in application development, application support, systems implementation, or enterprise application management.

• Proven experience leading application development and support teams in a large-scale enterprise environment.

• Demonstrated experience in application modernization, digital transformation, and cloud migration initiatives.

• Hands-on experience working with enterprise applications, integrations, APIs, and cloud-based technologies.

• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or Tencent Cloud.

• Fluent in Cantonese and English
