Job Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, covering project activities from Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning.
• Develop Level 1 to Level 4 schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables.
• Monitor and track project progress against approved schedules, budgets, milestones, and performance targets.
• Identify schedule constraints, delays, and potential risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation and recovery actions.
• Conduct schedule impact assessments, critical path analysis, and develop recovery/acceleration schedules when required.
• Establish and maintain project control systems, progress measurement methods, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
• Analyse schedule, cost, and productivity variances and recommend corrective actions to support project delivery.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, cash flow, and cost forecasts.
• Support cost control activities, including procurement and subcontractor expenditure tracking, variation order evaluations, and commercial impact assessments.
• Develop and verify progress measurement for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly project reports, management dashboards, critical path analysis, productivity reports, and forecast completion reports.
• Provide accurate project performance data, forecasting, and analysis to support management decision-making.
• Identify and monitor project schedule and cost risks, including conducting what-if scenario analysis and maintaining risk and opportunity registers.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Finance, Clients, Consultants, and Subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate project information.
• Provide planning and project controls support during tendering and project execution phases.
• Participate in client progress meetings, project reviews, and management meetings.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve project planning and control processes, efficiency, and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies, legal requirements, and HSE requirements, and actively participate in HSE activities and programmes.
• Perform other ad hoc assignments and duties as required by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Project Planner, Project Controller, or Project Controls Engineer.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, EPCC, PCC, Pipeline, Mechanical, Civil, Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrial projects is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in developing and managing project schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory) and/or Microsoft Project.
• Good knowledge of project controls, schedule control, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and performance reporting.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), Schedule Risk Analysis, and Cost Forecasting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project reporting/dashboard development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with multiple project teams.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project cost and schedule performance.
