We’re hiring a Senior Java Backend Engineer for a leading international financial institution with a long-standing presence in global banking.

This is a senior hands-on role for someone who can build reliable backend platforms, work across complex integrations, and contribute to technical delivery in a regulated environment.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus
• Develop microservices and REST/SOAP APIs
• Integrate applications with databases and enterprise systems
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and AWS
• Support CI/CD, testing, debugging and performance improvement
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, database and messaging teams
• Take ownership of technical delivery and support development best practices

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of Java development experience
• Strong background in Spring Boot, microservices and API development
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Hands-on exposure to Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift and cloud platforms
• Good understanding of backend security, monitoring and DevOps practices
• Experience working in banking, financial services or regulated environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical leadership skills
