Overview:
At Keysight, quality excellence is central to delivering innovative products, operational discipline, and the best customer experience. We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer who will serve as a quality leader and owner of strategic quality initiatives across Customer Quality, New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing Quality, Contract Manufacturing (CM), High-Level Assembly (HLA), and Continuous Improvement.
This role is expected to drive quality strategy, lead deep-dive investigations into top quality issues, and partner with R&D, NPI, Product Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and other counterparts to proactively enhance product quality, reduce customer impact, and strengthen end-to-end customer experience.
Responsibilities:

Lead customer quality strategy and own major customer issue resolution from escalation through containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, recovery, and verified closure.

Drive deep-dive reviews of top customer quality issues and ensure systemic improvements are defined, implemented, and sustained across responsible functions.

Partner with R&D, Product Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to align technical actions, customer communication, and recovery commitments.

Translate customer quality trends and escalation learnings into proactive product and process quality improvement roadmaps.

Own manufacturing quality strategy by identifying top defects, process vulnerabilities, quality escapes, and systemic improvement priorities.

Drive process capability improvement, defect reduction, and preventive quality programs with measurable business and customer impact.

Lead cross-functional deep dives with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Support, and R&D to eliminate recurring quality issues and strengthen product robustness.

Drive governance, escalation, and effectiveness reviews to ensure corrective actions are completed on time and deliver sustained quality improvement.

Own NPI quality readiness strategy, ensuring quality risks, lessons learned, customer feedback, and known field issues are addressed before product release.

Lead proactive risk identification and mitigation with R&D, NPI, Product Support, Engineering, and Manufacturing throughout product introduction.

Ensure product and process quality requirements are integrated into design, validation, qualification, control plans, and launch readiness decisions.

Own CM and HLA quality governance, ensuring external manufacturing partners meet expectations for containment, RCA quality, corrective action execution, and preventive improvement.

Drive partner quality improvement roadmaps based on top defects, customer impact, process risks, and business priorities.

Lead deep-dive resolution of complex CM/HLA quality issues with clear accountability across internal teams and manufacturing partners.

Assess CM/HLA operational performance and drive improvement governance with measurable outcomes, timely closure, and sustained quality performance.

Lead high-impact quality improvement initiatives focused on top quality issues, customer experience, product robustness, and operational excellence.

Drive data analytics, automation, digital quality systems, and AI-enabled insights to improve issue detection, prioritization, and preventive action planning.

Champion Lean Six Sigma, structured problem solving, and continual improvement practices to drive sustainable quality results.

Build a culture of quality ownership, proactive technical deep dive, customer-focused decision making, and defect prevention across the organization.

Partner strategically with Quality, R&D, NPI, Product Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Support, Product Management, Corporate Quality, and external partners to drive end-to-end quality outcomes.

Provide management with clear recommendations on top quality risks, customer impact, recovery priorities, and proactive product quality enhancement opportunities.

Influence organizational decisions through quality analytics, technical evidence, customer experience insights, and risk-based prioritization.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Customer Quality, or NPI environments.

Proven experience leading complex quality investigations and improvement initiatives.

Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional project execution.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
-
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
-
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
-
Certified Internal Auditor.
-
AS9100 Auditor Certification.
