Job Summary
You will assist the kitchen team in preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, managing stock, and supporting meal preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations and food safety compliance.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning food to support in meal preparation
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, workstations, utensils, and equipment to meet food safety standards
Wash dishes, kitchen tools, and cooking equipment promptly to ensure availability during service
Store food and ingredients properly following food safety guidelines to preserve quality and prevent contamination
Receive, check, and organize stock deliveries to maintain accurate inventory and kitchen readiness
Replenish kitchen supplies and alert supervisors when stock levels are low to avoid shortages
Dispose of waste responsibly and keep the kitchen environment clean and organized for safety and efficiency
Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations consistently to ensure a safe working environment
Support the kitchen team during meal preparation and service to maintain smooth operations
Perform other duties assigned by the team leader as needed to assist kitchen functions
Required certifications
Hygiene cert

No prior experience required; training will be provided
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn
Able to work weekends, public holidays, and shift schedules if required
