Substation EHS / HSE Manager (Data Centre Construction) PMC - JB
A Substation Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager in Malaysia oversees high-voltage electrical safety, regulatory compliance with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health), and risk mitigation.
Key responsibilities involve managing Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, leading safety audits for high-risk energization activities, and enforcing zero-incident targets.
Core Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure alignment with the Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and coordinate closely with DOSH.
High-Voltage Safety Management: Oversee Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), risk assessments (HIRARC), and safety protocols during high-voltage (HV) substation construction, testing, and commissioning.
Permit-to-Work (PTW): Control and audit high-risk work permits for daily site operations and contractor activities.
Incident Prevention: Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and incident root-cause investigations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Certification: Valid registration as a Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH Malaysia along with specialized green/yellow book credentials or relevant safety certifications.
Experience: Background in managing EHS in high voltage substation projects for data centre, heavy industrial, electrical infrastructure, utility.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
