ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are partnering with a leading Japanese A1 Main Contractor seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Structural Engineer (C&S Design) to support the technical design, construction planning and pre-construction activities for major building developments in Singapore.

The position will work closely with C&S consultants, tender, commercial and project teams on structural schemes, temporary works, construction methodology, sequencing and technical planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with C&S consultants to develop structural schemes for major building projects.
• Coordinate and review structural and temporary works design to support construction planning.
• Carry out engineering design in accordance with Eurocodes, Singapore Standards and relevant design codes.
• Develop construction methodology, sequencing, resource planning and technical solutions.
• Prepare construction programmes and coordinate schedules with other project disciplines.
• Support technical tender submissions, including construction methodology, ERSS and site utilisation planning where required.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveying and commercial teams on technical requirements and project costing.
• Provide technical advice and support to project, tender and engineering teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong Civil & Structural engineering/design experience within the building construction industry.
• Experience with a Main Contractor or Engineering Consultant will be considered.
• Good knowledge of structural design, temporary works and construction methodology.
• Familiar with Eurocodes, Singapore Standards and relevant authority requirements.
• Experience in building tender preparation, ERSS planning, construction sequencing, programming or technical tender submissions will be highly advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong technical, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
