Procurement Executive (Plantation)

Work Location: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur
Salary: RM2,900.00 – RM3,000.00 per month
Working Days: Monday – Friday

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting and managing the procurement process for plantation operations and corporate requirements, including sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase order processing, supplier coordination, and delivery follow-up.

The role will work closely with plantation operations, finance, warehouse, and other internal departments to ensure materials and services are procured on time, at competitive prices, and in accordance with company requirements and procurement procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities from purchase requisition to purchase order and delivery.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, lead time, and service reliability.
• Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, supplier documentation, and other procurement records.
• Coordinate with plantation sites and internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, pricing details, and purchase documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues relating to quality, pricing, delays, or non-compliance.
• Assist in identifying potential new suppliers and alternative sources to improve cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
• Work closely with Finance and relevant departments to ensure proper documentation and timely invoice processing.
• Monitor purchasing trends and support cost-saving initiatives and procurement improvements.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with 1–3 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related experience will have an added advantage.
• Good communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple purchasing requests and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Willing to learn and develop a career in procurement within the plantation industry.
• Willing to travel to plantation sites when required.
