Responsibilities
Prepare work surfaces by cleaning, repairing cracks, levelling, and priming before plaster application.
Mix and prepare plaster, mortar, cement, and related materials to the required consistency.
Apply plaster, render, skimming coats, or decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensure smooth, even, and durable finishes that meet project specifications and quality standards.
Repair, patch, or restore existing plasterwork where required.
Be able to follow the drawing requirements and do the work.
Select and use suitable materials, tools, and methods for each specific task.
Protect surrounding areas and fixtures from plastering work to maintain site cleanliness.
Maintain all tools, equipment, and work areas in good, safe condition.
Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors, and team members to meet project timelines.
Comply with building codes, material specifications, and workplace safety regulations.
Identify and report any site or structural issues promptly to the relevant supervisor.
Dispose of debris and waste materials in a safe and responsible manner.
