Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment at hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centres.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, performance testing, and equipment inspections to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, equipment faults, defects, damages, and other service-related problems involving supplied medical equipment.
- Attend to customer complaints and provide timely technical support and solutions to ensure customer satisfaction and minimise equipment downtime.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to healthcare professionals and users on the proper operation, handling, maintenance, and safe usage of medical equipment.
- Ensure all servicing, maintenance, and equipment operations comply with applicable medical device regulations, safety requirements, quality standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, preventive maintenance records, calibration records, installation reports, technical documentation, and equipment history records.
- Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, principals, manufacturers, and authorised service personnel on technical matters, equipment issues, spare parts, repairs, warranty claims, and service requirements.
- Attend product and technical training conducted by suppliers, principals, and manufacturers to maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned medical equipment and technologies.
- Provide technical assistance to the Sales and Business Development teams, including product demonstrations, technical explanations, site assessments, and responses to customer technical enquiries.
- Maintain proper inventory and records of spare parts, service tools, accessories, and technical equipment used for servicing and maintenance.
- Ensure all service activities are properly documented and completed within the required timelines and in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities related to biomedical engineering and technical services as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant engineering/technical fields.
- Possess a relevant professional or competency certification recognised by the appropriate engineering or regulatory body, where applicable.
- Knowledge and/or experience in medical device servicing, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical and equipment-related issues effectively.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple service assignments, and respond to customer technical issues in a timely manner.
- Willing to travel to hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centres, and other customer sites for installation, servicing, training, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, shockwave therapy, laser therapy, or other medical/rehabilitation equipment will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong interest in medical device technology and biomedical engineering are encouraged to apply.
- Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel for work will be an added advantage.
