Mechanical / Cleanroom EngineerCompany Description
  • International Facility Engineering (IFE) is an engineering consultancy specialising in high-technology and mission-critical facilities.
  • We provide multidisciplinary engineering design, consultancy and project support services for semiconductor fabrication plants, cleanrooms, laboratories and advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Our projects are located across Singapore and the wider Asia region.
Role Description
  • Develop mechanical and cleanroom designs for semiconductor and high-technology facilities.
  • Prepare design calculations, Basis of Design, specifications, equipment schedules, system schematics and technical reports.
  • Design and evaluate HVAC, cleanroom ventilation, chilled-water, exhaust and related mechanical systems.
  • Perform cleanroom airflow, pressurisation, temperature, humidity and contamination-control assessments.
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, process utility and life-safety disciplines.
  • Review equipment layouts, technical submissions, shop drawings and contractor proposals.
  • Participate in design reviews, client meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
  • Support feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, tender evaluation and construction-stage coordination.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements and good engineering practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical, HVAC or cleanroom engineering.
  • Experience in semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, laboratories or advanced manufacturing facilities is preferred.
  • Good understanding of cleanroom HVAC, airflow, pressurisation, temperature and humidity control.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM and engineering calculation tools is preferred.
  • Able to prepare clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Strong coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Willing to travel when required for regional project assignments.
