Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (where applicable), IPC standards, and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure products consistently meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection, final inspection, and outgoing quality verification.
• Investigate customer complaints, internal quality issues, and supplier quality concerns using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Lead and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and verify the effectiveness of implemented actions.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and reduce defects and scrap.
• Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, Control Plans, Work Instructions, PFMEA, and quality records.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including design reviews, process validation, qualification builds, and quality readiness.
• Conduct internal process audits and support external audits by customers and certification bodies.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Work with suppliers to investigate incoming material quality issues and drive corrective actions and supplier performance improvement.
• Ensure compliance with IPC workmanship standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop inspection standards, acceptance criteria, and sampling plans based on customer and industry requirements.
• Train production operators and inspectors on quality standards, inspection methods, workmanship requirements, and defect identification.
• Monitor the calibration status of measuring and inspection equipment and ensure compliance with calibration requirements.
• Prepare quality reports and present key quality performance metrics during management reviews.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
• QA Engineer: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Senior QA Engineer: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in cable assembly, wire harness, electronics manufacturing, EMS, or a related manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of custom cable assembly and wire harness manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, and IPC J-STD-001. Relevant IPC certification will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, or AS9100 is an advantage.
• Experience in customer complaint handling and supplier quality management.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including:
• 8D Problem Solving
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• 5 Why Analysis
• Fishbone Diagram
• PFMEA
• Control Plan
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
• PPAP is an added advantage
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection and measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pull-force testers, continuity testers, and other relevant measuring instruments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Production, Engineering, Suppliers, and Customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
