Our client is an established Malaysia-based company operating in the lifestyle, wellness and consumer products industry. The company has a strong presence in Malaysia and an expanding regional footprint, located in Old Klang Road Kuala Lumpur.
Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts in accordance with accounting principles, policies and procedures.
- Audit financial transactions and maintain proper documentation of accounting control procedures.
- Keep up to date with relevant financial policies, regulations and legislation.
- Manage period-end activities, particularly the accurate matching and reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances, including intercompany billing and journal entries.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual commission payments.
- Perform matching and reconciliation of eWallet transactions and balances.
- Maintain proper records of company assets and work closely with relevant departments for periodic asset tagging.
- Coordinate with respective Section Heads to ensure the accuracy and compliance of audit and tax schedules within the set timeline.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory requirements, including CP204A, audit reports, tax filings and statistical reports.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years working experience in accounting or a relevant field.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of accounting software (AutoCount and SQL).
- Goal-oriented, with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.
