Responsibilities:

Business Development / Tender Support

• Review mechanical specifications and drawings for lift projects.
• Evaluate traffic analysis compliance and design feasibility.
• Identify potential clashes with local codes, regulations, and common industry practices.
  
  

Project / Installation Stage

• Review shop drawings and mechanical calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review installation methodologies and conduct mock-up lift checks.
• Conduct installation audit inspections where required.
• Participate in handover inspections and identify defects for rectification.
  
  

QAQC & Engineering Quality

• Monitor the reliability and performance of mechanical components, including ropes, guide rails, and door systems.
• Identify recurring mechanical faults and recommend improvement measures.
• Conduct supplier quality assessments and laboratory testing where necessary.
• Review and approve parts listings for mechanical components.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of the spare parts database.
  
  

Root Cause Investigation

• Investigate lift-related complaints, including noisy operations, vibrations, rusty ropes, and other mechanical issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend engineering solutions to minimise recurrence.
  
  

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  
  

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience in the lift industry will be an advantage.
  
  

Specific Skills/Knowledge

• Strong understanding of lift mechanical systems and components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
  
  

Competencies

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and reliability.
