Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Part-time BIM Engineer to focus on scripting, automation, and digital workflow enhancement for foundation projects and tenders. The role centers on developing custom scripts and automation tools to streamline BIM production, model coordination, and digital construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain custom scripts and automation tools (using Dynamo, Python, or Visual LISP) to streamline Revit modeling and data management for Foundation, ELS and temporary structures.

• Explore and implement BIM automation workflows to reduce manual modeling effort and significantly improve team efficiency.

• Assist in producing and maintaining BIM families for models (Revit) for foundation, ELS, and temporary works according to company standards when required.

• Support clash detection, coordination processes, and federated model updates.

• Assist in preparing 4D simulation, construction sequencing, and digital method statements.

• Collaborate with Design and Site Teams to resolve technical and modeling scripting challenges.

• Provide technical support, scripting troubleshooting, and share digital/BIM knowledge within the team.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Building Services, or related discipline.

• Available to work 2 working days per week.
  2–5 years of experience in BIM modeling or digital engineering within contractors or consultants (foundation / ELS experience preferred).

• Strong hands-on experience in BIM scripting and automation (Dynamo, Python, or similar programming/scripting tools).

• Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks; experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or LISP is a distinct advantage.

• Familiar with BIM coordination, workflow automation, and model documentation. Knowledge of construction workflows, temporary works concepts, or geotechnical drawings is a plus.

• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Good communication skills and a willingness to innovate and implement new digital tools and standards.
