Data Center Engineer

HIRING: DATA CENTER OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Operations Technician to support day-to-day data center operations, server and network equipment maintenance, hardware replacement, troubleshooting, asset management, structured cabling, and facility coordination.

Location: Johore, Malaysia

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 4+ Years

Key Responsibilities:

• Server mounting, handover checks, maintenance, and equipment patrols
• Server hardware troubleshooting and component replacement
• Failure diagnostics, log collection, and vendor escalation
• OS-level troubleshooting and post-repair configuration
• Network device deployment, maintenance, and failure handling
• Coordination with carriers, IDC providers, and vendors
• Production, spare, and project inventory management
• Storeroom, cabinet, and server documentation management
• Rack power ON/OFF coordination with facility teams
• Data center facility checks, patrols, and incident support
• Structured cabling validation, labeling, and asset tagging
• VM creation/modification, IP provisioning, and network configuration
• Onsite technical support and third-party supplier coordination
• Ticket handling, reporting, documentation, and archiving

Requirements:

• Diploma in Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Center Operations
• Strong knowledge of server hardware, network equipment, and facility operations
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Fast learner with willingness to learn new technologies
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
