Established in 1990, Arachem Group is a leading distributor of scientific equipment and a solutions provider across Engineering, Water, Biotechnology and Animal Diagnostics. Through our subsidiaries, we also supply specialty chemicals, medical equipment and F&B engineering solutions. We are the authorised distributor for more than 40 brands, with more than 150 staff in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
In this role, you will help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and coordinate across departments to resolve issues as they arise. The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with people and are driven by problem-solving and continuous improvement rather than routine tasks.
We welcome candidates who are new to the field but have the right attitude and eagerness to learn. This is a fully office-based role with one week of travel to Indonesia each month.
Job Descriptions
Ensure daily operations running smoothly
- Learn the full order-to-cash and procure-to-pay flow: quotation, customer PO, internal order, PO to principal, inbound logistics, goods receipt, outbound delivery, payables and receivables.
- Act as the point person when issues come up at any stage, including one-off cases, unique scenarios, new products, errors and new-staff onboarding.
- Work with Finance, Logistics, IT, Store and Customer Coordinators, and sometimes Sales, to agree on a fix and see it through.
Identify improvement opportunities and troubleshoot system, workflow, customer issues
- Understand system steps in our ERP (Sage 300 Accpac) and our in-house Customer Management System (CMS), and understand how the two connect.
- Find the root cause of system and process issues, then work with IT and users to fix them.
- Find root cause of operational issues, then identify improvements opportunities and turn them into long term fixes or SOP.
Improve operations in Indonesia
- Travel to our Indonesia entity, PT Arasains, for one week each month.
- Act as the point person when issues come up at any stage, including one-off cases, unique scenarios, new products, errors and new-staff onboarding.
- Find root cause of operational issues, then identify improvements opportunities and turn them into long term fixes or SOP.
- Bring proven practices from HQ to Indonesia and help implement.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must at least possess Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Possess at least 2 years working experience and interested in operations.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as need to communicate between departments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills who can understand how a process works and able to propose practical solutions.
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin.
- Possess own transport and be willing to travel.
