About Xionex

Xionex is building a GenAI-native operations platform for banking and insurance, transforming complex operational processes through intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, and AI-powered decision support.

We are looking for a Guarantees Operations Senior Analyst with strong hands-on experience in bank guarantees and trade finance operations to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process bank guarantee transactions across the full operational lifecycle, including issuance, amendments, extensions, cancellations, claims and releases.
• Review guarantee applications and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
• Handle inward and outward guarantees, including related counter-guarantee and indemnity processes where applicable.
• Verify guarantee wording, terms, conditions, amounts, expiry dates and other key transaction details.
• Perform transaction checks against approved limits, mandates, policies and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with relationship managers, trade finance teams, legal, compliance, operations and other stakeholders to resolve transaction issues.
• Ensure guarantees are processed accurately and within agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).
• Monitor outstanding guarantees, expiries, amendments, cancellations and other follow-up requirements.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, operational exceptions and transaction-related queries.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
• Support reconciliation and control activities relating to guarantee transactions.
• Identify operational risks, control gaps and opportunities to improve existing processes.
• Participate in process improvement and digital transformation initiatives, including the adoption of AI-enabled trade finance solutions.
• Support user acceptance testing, process mapping and validation of new workflows or system enhancements.
• Prepare operational reports and provide insights on transaction volumes, exceptions, turnaround times and service performance.
• Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing to junior team members where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in guarantees, trade finance operations, transaction banking or banking operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of bank guarantees and trade finance processes.
• Good understanding of guarantee-related terminology, documentation, workflows and operational controls.
• Familiarity with URDG 758, ICC rules and other relevant trade finance practices is an advantage.
• Experience handling guarantee issuance, amendments, extensions, cancellations, claims and releases.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and operational risks.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities within tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working with banking systems, workflow platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with process automation, digital banking or AI-enabled operations is an advantage.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
